Payment Status Report

Overview

Payment Status Reports use pacs.002 messages to communicate progress on payment requests between participants. When sending cross-border payments to other participants or Funds Controllers, the recipient must provide status updates until the payment reaches completion at the beneficiary account.

Messages are delivered through the Payment Status Report pacs.002 API endpoint and routed via RTGS.global, enabling end-to-end lifecycle tracking.

The sender determines the content of each status message — RTGS.global does not define or constrain the set of statuses or reason codes you may receive.
